Subaru Makes Strong Showing at New York International Auto Show

Subaru is always at the forefront of automotive innovation, and this was on display at the recent New York International Auto Show. The carmaker exhibited a handful of highly anticipated new models, including the fantastic – and all-new – 2026 Subaru Trailseeker EV. 2026 Subaru Trailseeker

The brand-new Subaru Trailseeker has created a lot of buzz, and not just because it is a fully electric model. It has a ton of power – its two motors and battery combine to generate 375 horsepower – and it is off-road-ready. It comes standard with all-wheel drive and the X-Mode traction management system with driving modes for Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud. It also offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance and can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

2026 Subaru Outback

Believe it or not, the Subaru Outback is entering its seventh generation, and it does so with several updates. They include a bold, boxier new look and a larger cabin. The SUV also now has a fully digital dashboard consisting of a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.1-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. In addition, it now uses extra sound-absorbing materials in the roof and headliner to make the cabin quieter.

2026 Subaru WRX GT

Like the Subaru Outback, the Subaru WRX GT has received a lot of upgrades for the 2026 model year. It now sports a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that substantially increases its power, offering 350 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. Its new six-speed manual transmission has shorter gear ratios for improved responsiveness and acceleration, and the all-wheel-drive system has been retuned to enhance handling.
