Subaru does more than build and sell cars. For several years, it has made charitable giving a huge part of its culture, and one organization that it is especially close to is Make-A-Wish®. In 2024, Subaru helped raise a substantial amount of money for the charity, and Casey Subaru has the details.

Celebrating a 14-Year Partnership

Every year, Subaru partners with different charities for its Subaru Share the Love® Event, and since 2010, the Make-A-Wish® program has been one of them. Last year, the event raised an amazing $3.1 million for the organization. Since the partnership began, the total amount raised has exceeded $38 million.

Every New Subaru Sold Raised Money

The great thing about the Subaru Share the Love Event is that, whether they were aware of it or not, every time someone bought or leased a new Subaru model, charities benefited. For every vehicle, a minimum of $300 was donated, and the money went to both national and local nonprofit organizations. Around the U.S., more than 20 dealerships picked Make-A-Wish® as their hometown charity.

Making a Real Difference

For 45 years, Make-A-Wish® has aimed to bring joy to children dealing with severe illnesses, as well as their families, which is why Subaru is happy to be a part of it. Said Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish® America: “The partnership between Subaru and Make-A-Wish® exemplifies the impact that long-term supporters can have, helping us get closer to delivering the transformational power of a wish to every eligible child.”
