While we’re only a few months into 2025, Subaru is already working on its 2026 models. One that is creating considerable buzz is the 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness, which has many new and improved features compared to previous years. Here Casey Subaru goes over the highlights.

Upgraded Performance Features

The Subaru Forester Wilderness was already made to tackle tough terrain easily, and the 2026 model is ready for outdoor adventures, long commutes, road trips, or anywhere else the road takes you. Thanks to longer springs and shocks, it now has 9.3 inches of ground clearance. Its Yokohama® Geolandar™ All-Terrain tires are on 17-inch wheels. This model has a new transmission, which has increased the towing capacity from 3,000 to 3,500 pounds. Plus, the rear differential has a built-in temperature sensor, letting drivers know when to cool things down.

Generous Interior Space

The 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness cabin is spacious, and it easily accommodates five people. The seats are supportive and come with water-repellent StarTex™ synthetic leather. Heated and ventilated front seats and a leather-wrapped gear shifter are also standard. Cargo room is ample, and it offers 27.5 cubic feet behind the back seats and 69.1 cubic feet when they are folded.

Advanced Technology

The 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness is well-equipped with technology. The dashboard consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.6-inch infotainment system touchscreen. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and HD and satellite radio are all standard.
