Casey In Our Community

Giving back to communities in which we live and work is a historic tradition for the Casey Auto Group. We are proud supporters of the Newport News School District’s “Achievable Dream” program and continue to be one of the Peninsula’s top contributors to the United Way. Casey also sponsors the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” annual walk and fundraiser, as well as helps the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank with food drives and benefits throughout the year. Sponsoring many other events and organizations such as Relay for Life, The USO, Virginia Living Museum, Christopher Newport’s Ferguson Center for the Arts, JDRF, BikeWalk Williamsburg, The Rotary Club of Yorktown, York County Little League, Williamsburg Regional Library and many more.

At Casey Subaru, we know that it’s about more than just selling cars. It’s about our community.

Being apart of the Casey Community means always doing what we can to help those in need.

Keep in Touch with Casey Subaru with Our Community Outreach

At Casey Subaru, we are hard at work reaching out to our community. Our customers are our livelihood, and helping to make their lives easier and better in any way is our goal. Through numerous events and partnerships, we have made strides towards giving back to our wonderful community. A few of the programs we have reached out to and participated in can be seen below.

Achievable Dreams Program

The Achievable Dreams program focuses on providing a unique and challenging academic environment for children in elementary grades through high school. At the center of this program is the desire to motivate students to push themselves and teach them to respect themselves, adult leaders, and their world. Through this program, we aim to help these children grow up to attain a vision and achieve that vision.

If this feels like a program you would be passionate about, do not hesitate to find more information on it.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

With the Subaru Love Promise Award, Subaru aims to develop a vision of respecting all people around the world. The idea is to show commitment to show love and respect to our customers and positively impact the world. There are numerous programs we are partnering with to prove this. We are the Flagship Sponsor, for instance, for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Peninsula Event. The American Cancer Society works diligently and hard to earn donations and fundraising efforts to go towards finding a cure, and we want to see that dream become a reality.

If donating or helping fundraise this event sounds like something you would like to do, do not hesitate to look up more information.

Virginia Peninsula Foodbank

Being able to serve the area by providing a dealership with new and used vehicles is what we’re known for, but here at Casey Subaru, we make sure to be good stewards to our community. We routinely are out in the area helping with various good causes and ensuring that we an make the place we live a better place, which includes our partnership with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.

Through our Casey in Our Community programs we help donate to those in need and get the community involved as we have donation centers at our dealership and provide our own time and money toward worthy causes such as feeding those with food insecurity in our area. In partnership with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, we make sure that healthy food is provided to individuals, children, families, seniors and veterans who might otherwise go without. Through our efforts we’ve helped get meals to those impacted during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, as the demand has increased since these uncertain times have caused more people in our area to not know where or when their next meal might come.

By volunteering, donating and ensuring that meals can get delivered, we’re giving back as best we can, because we understand that nobody should go without, and if you live in our area, you’re our neighbors and lending a helping hand is the best way we can do our part to help ensure nobody goes hungry. Whether it’s the mobile food pantry or getting meals to children at schools to take home over the weekends, we encourage those who can to assist organizations like the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. If you’d like more information, visit hrfoodbank.org or contact us today.

Four Oaks

Giving back to the community is something that the Casey Subaru team is passionate about. We aim to serve people on and off the showroom floor, taking our dedication to help others to our community. One way we do this is by participating in the Subaru Loves to Help Event. We do this every year, with it becoming a dealership tradition. Our team also joins in on the Achievable Dreams program and Subaru Love Promise Award initiative to further positively impact our community.

Take a Peek at This Year’s Subaru Loves to Help Event

Participating in the Subaru Loves to Help Event has always been a yearly tradition at Casey Subaru, and this year was no exception. Our Subaru Delivery Specialist, Holly Rogers, dropped off blankets at the Four Oaks Day Service Center, right here in Newport News. These warm blankets are sure to bring warmth to those in need in our community. Spreading joy and kindness will always bring a smile to someone’s face, and we are proud to be the ones delivering it.

The Four Oaks Day Service Center is a Beacon of Hope

By joining forces with the Four Oaks Day Service Center, we can make a lasting impact on many people’s lives. The Four Oaks Day Service Center helps people who are homeless find employment, stable housing, and independence. By doing this, they can take more people out of homelessness and set them up so they have a foundation and a fresh start. They also offer many programs to give people the knowledge and information to avoid homelessness in the future. These programs include classes on workforce development, budgeting and financial literacy, computer literacy, and more.

Subaru Loves Learning

We are now partnering with Adopt A Classroom to provide supplies to classrooms in need. As part of Subaru of America, Inc’s Love Promise commitment, we have taken steps to help out the next generations. Inadequate classroom resources are a big problem. To put this in perspective, 92% of classrooms have students whose guardians and families cannot afford to purchase school supplies. That is why retailers are stepping up.

Helping Schools in Need

At Casey Subaru, we are helping Saunders Elementary School. Through Adopt A Classroom, we have the ability to supply six classrooms. We put forth $3,000 split among these classrooms, helping over 150 students receive the tools they need to learn. In the past year alone, over 114,000 students have been supported nationwide. If you want to contribute, get in touch with us. We can see about adding your support to our mission.

If there is another school you would like to support, let us know. We specifically work with Saunders Elementary School. However, we can put you in touch with the Subaru dealership that works with your chosen school. If your school does not have a benefactor yet, let us know. We are always looking to expand our network.

Partnering with the AAAS

We partner with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, also known as the AAAS. The AAAS seeks to nurture student education, ensuring they have the tools, interest, and desire to learn. Similar to Adopt A Classroom, we work with the AAAS to provide science books to communities across the nation. Over 277,600 books have been supplied, and we have been working with them since 2015.

Toys For Tots

Our Newport News dealership always wants to help those in need. That’s why this holiday season, we’re collecting donations to Toys For Tots. It doesn’t matter if you a business, an organization or an individual – every child deserves a little Christmas.

Since 1947, Toys For Tots has been delivering hope to children all over the country. And now, with your donations, you can do the same.
