Comparing the 2026 Subaru Solterra and the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker

2026 Subaru Trailseeker

If you want to explore the outdoors and limit your impact on the environment, you can do both with a 2026 Subaru Trailseeker and the 2026 Subaru Solterra. Both Subaru models are eco-friendly electric vehicles that are ready for outdoor and urban adventures. Casey Subaru is where you can decide which EV is the right fit for you.

Charging and Range

A North American Charging Standard port is now standard for the Subaru Solterra, which allows you to “refuel” at a larger number of public charging stations than ever before. The Subaru Trailseeker is also outfitted with a NACS port, which is great news. If you use a DC Fast Charger, the two EVs can go from a 10 percent charge up to 80 percent capacity in just 35 minutes. Charging either EV at home is possible with a 120- or 240-volt outlet, but it will take longer.

Subaru SUVs are pleasant daily drivers, with excellent driving dynamics and generous driving range. On a full charge, the Subaru Solterra can cover as many as 285 miles. Noticeably bigger than its stablemate, the Subaru Trailseeker can travel more than 260 miles before you’ll need to recharge.*

Capabilities

As well as the Subaru Solterra and the Subaru Trailseeker handle the road, they’re just as enjoyable to operate on the nearest trail. Both EVs have standard all-wheel drive and selectable driving modes for differing terrain. Obstacles aren’t a problem for either SUV as they both have 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

Getting gear to remote locations is a cinch for the Subaru Trailseeker and the Subaru Solterra. With the right equipment, the former SUV can tow up to 3,500 lbs while the latter EV can tow as much as 3,307 lbs. The Subaru Solterra has a maximum cargo capacity of 63.5 cubic feet with its back seats folded, which is plenty of space for most drivers. Longer and taller than its stablemate, the Subaru Trailseeker has an even more expansive cargo area, making it a smart pick for larger families.
